While there are several features available, it's not necessary to use them all right away. You can begin by adding enough meals and ingredients for a week or two, and gradually incorporate more features as you become more familiar with the spreadsheet 😊👩🏻‍💻✨

How it works

Get started in 3 steps:

  • Step 1: Customize your template by making a list of the items and ingredients you usually buy and the meals you usually prepare.
  • Step 2: Assign the ingredients that should be added to the Grocery List automatically for each meal.
  • Step 3: Select your meals from the drop-downs and watch as items are added automatically to your weekly grocery list.

Other features included:

  • Join your Weekly Grocery Lists together into a single List.
  • Start your month on ANY DAY that you choose.
  • An automated Calendar View shows your Meal Plan for the month (perfect for printing).

Well Worth It

The spreadsheet works beautifully and has been an enormous help in my weekly meal planning, especially during Ramadan. It takes some effort to set up the ingredients to each recipe but once you have then set up it is a huge time saver for planning your grocery list. Love the use and functionality of everything. I added a way to print the grocery list off easier for myself but maybe this could be an added feature for the future? Either way, great product.

Do Google Sheets templates work in Excel?

No, Google Sheets templates are only compatible with Google Sheets and will NOT work in Excel.

Even though Excel and Google Sheets are both similar in some ways, not all the features and formulas are compatible with each other.

If you’re familiar with Excel you should be able to figure out Google Sheets in no time. The basic spreadsheet behavior is the same and all you need to get started is a FREE Google account. 

With the templates I created all you really need to do is fill out your information and follow the instructions to learn how to use the features included, so there’s really not that much that you need to know in terms of Google Sheets.

If you’re uncertain, you can always watch the demo videos linked in the description to make sure you will be able to navigate the spreadsheet and that it will be a good fit.
